Signs of Fall!!

I have noticed several signs of fall this week, which I love.
  • One or two little red leaves amongst the green on the Maple tree outside my kitchen window.
  • Mums and pumpkins at area markets
  • The sky is clear and a brilliant blue in the evenings.
  • The temperature is cool/crisp in the evenings and early mornings.
  • Football - GO UGA!!!
  • Deer are moving, as my husband notices. He is an avid outdoorsman and gets very excited when the temp drops a little.
  • The last sure sign of fall is the "eps truck" as Eva calls it just brought her Halloween costume today, Minnie Mouse. She has wore it since we opened the box. I hope we don't wear it out before Halloween even arrives.

All of these are some of my favorite things. As an educator fall seems like a new beginning to me. A new school year. New students and new classes.

The holidays are around the corner, which is another favorite thing. I really like the time from now until Christmas more than the actual day.

My husband and I started dating in the fall and got married in the fall, October 2. Fall is happy memories.

This is definitely my favorite time of the year.

Great post Robyn. I too love fall and am happy to see signs of it!

Yes, that is Joyce Kilmer National Forest up near Robbinsville. Neat place!

I think you will enjoy blogging. I have. It has proven almost therapeutic at times. :)

Oh, for the love of fall. We too met, then years later bought our house in fall. So many happy memories and more to come. I'm with you on the season rather than the day it leads up to.
